CHIP-CHOCOLATE COOKIE DOUGH BROWN

*If you are visiting this post for the first time, you may want to visit my "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies Take Two" post - a newer post where I share (what I think is) a better version of these cookies!  That's fine too - but I took the comments suggested in this post and created a new recipe based on the comments.

*Ingredients:
Brownie Layer:
° 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, finely chopped
° 1 cup (2 stalks) melted salted butter
° 2 c pack light brown sugar
° 4 eggs
° 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
° 1 cup all-purpose flour
° 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Layer cake muffins (see notes below):
° 3/4 cup (1 12 sticks) salted butter, at room temperature
° 3/4 c packed light sugarbrown
° 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
° 3 tablespoons milk
° 1½ tsp vanilla
° 1½ cups all-purpose flour (see notes below)
° 1½ cups mini chocolate chips
Topping (optional):
° 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
° 1 teaspoon ghee

* Directions :
Prepare the brown layer:
Heat oven 325 degrees F . Spraying 9"*13" skillet with non-stick spray. In a medium sized glass bowl, melt chocolate in the microwave on short 30-second intervals; Stir after each burst and take out of the microwave when thawed and softened. Set aside to cool slightly.  In  blending bowl, beat butter also brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract and whisk them too. Mix the melted chocolate. Whisk in the flour and mix until combined (do not over mix). Add chocolate chips. Spread the mixture into the prepared skillet. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes. Watch closely and take it out of the oven when a toothpick is inserted in the center and it comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
Prepare cookie dough layer:
In a medium-sized bowl, use an electric mixer to mix the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Mix milk and vanilla. Mix the flour until combined (see recipe notes on how to "cook" the flour before use). Add chocolate chips.
Association:
Spread the cookie dough over the cooled brownies. Put the dough in the refrigerator until completely solid. It's okay to speed up the process and put it in the freezer, too. The stiffer the dough, the easier it is to cut it into neat squares. Using  sharp knife to cutting brownies. You may need to wipe the knife with a paper towel between cuts because the fudge brownies and cookie dough will stick to the knife a bit. These brownies are best served inside cupcake papers and served with a fork.
scrape at the top:
If you want to add a drizzle of chocolate on top, melt ½ cup of chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon of ghee in the microwave; Stir until smooth. Put the melted chocolate in a zip-top bag and cut it out from the corner. Squeeze bag to sprinkle chocolate over each brownie. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top, if desired

Enjoy !
