* Ingredients :
°1 pound lean ground beef
°½ C. chopped onion
°¼ C. chopped green pepper
°1 c. ketchup
°½ C. Water
°1 tbspBrown sugar
°2 tspWorcestershire sauce
°1 tspyellow mustard
°½ tsp. garlic powder
°6 slices of Texas toast
°12 slices American white cheese
* Methods :
Heat the grill on high heat.
Put the minced meat, onion and pepper in a skillet over medium heat. Fry it until the meat is tender and the vegetables are tender. Strain out any excess fat.
Reduce stovetop heat to low, and add ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard and garlic powder. Stir and fry for 5-10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Place Texas toast on a baking sheet and toast under the grill until golden brown.
Cover every toast with slice of American cheese 7 place the cooking tray under grid for 30 seconds.
Add an equal share of the meat mixture on top of each piece of toast, then add another slice of American cheese.
Place the baking tray under the grill again until the cheese melts.
